Replacement pod cartridges

Electronic cigarette pod cartridges: find the right model

The electronic cigarette pod cartridges are tanks designed for electronic cigarettes using a pod system. They allow the e-liquid to be contained and, depending on its design, to accommodate an interchangeable resistance or directly integrate the heating element.

At RoyalCig find a selection of replacement cartridges for pods. They replace a used, damaged or unusable tank, while maintaining equipment compatible with your electronic cigarette.

Each range of pods has its own characteristics. To choose a cartridge, check the brand, the exact model reference and the manufacturer's compatibility indications.

Different types of pod cartridges

Ped cartridges with integrated strength

One integrated strength cartridge has a heating element that is part of the tank. When the resistance is worn out, the entire cartridge must usually be replaced.

Depending on the ranges, several values in ohms can be proposed. A reference compatible with the pod and its operating characteristics should be chosen.

Ped cartridges with interchangeable strength

Some Ped cartridges are designed to accommodate removable resistance. This system allows, when the cartridge is still in good condition, to replace only the strength.

The compatibility shall be checked at two levels: between the cartridge and the pod, then between the strength and the cartridge used.

Empty cartridges and pre-filled cartridges

There are refillable cartridges, which are designed to receive a compatible e-liquid, as well as pre-filled cartridges for specific systems.

These two technologies are not necessarily interchangeable. Always check the manufacturer's information and the characteristics of the proposed reference.

How to choose a cartridge compatible with your pod?

The compatibility of pod cartridges is essential to the operation of electronic cigarettes. Visually similar cartridges may have different attachment systems or connections.

Before choosing a replacement cartridge, check the following:

• The mark:Identify the manufacturer of your electronic cigarette.
• The exact model:Some ranges include several generations of pods.
• The cartridge reference:check the compatibility shown on the product sheet.
• The resistance system:integrated or interchangeable.
• The value in ohms:select only a value compatible with your device.
• Capacity:Choose a version that meets your needs and the characteristics of your pod.

A cartridge must never be forced into an incompatible device.

What strength value do you choose for a pod cartridge?

The value of a resistance is expressed in ohms (s). It is one of the characteristics of the heating system.

The pod cartridges can be offered with different values, especially around 0,6 Ω, 0,8 Ω, 1,0 Ω or 1,2 Ω Depending on the ranges.

The value in ohms can influence the operation and the sensations of use, but it alone does not allow to determine the type of draw or the appropriate power.

The characteristics of the pod and cartridge manufacturer shall be respected.

Indirect or direct inhalation pod cartridge

The MTL draw: indirect inhalation

The indirect inhalation (MTL)consists of Aspirer first the aerosol in the mouth before inhaling it. Many compact pods are designed to offer this type of drawing.

The operation depends in particular on the cartridge, its strength and the air circulation provided by the apparatus.

RDL draw: direct inhalation restrictive

Some pods allow direct inhalation restriction (RDL), with an air flow different from that of MTL equipment.

The compatibility of the cartridges and the available settings vary according to the models. Consult the manufacturer's instructions before use.

What e-liquid to use in a pod cartridge?

The choice of a e-liquid for pod depends on the design of the cartridge and its strength.

E-liquids50/50 PG/VG are used in many compatible pods. Some cartridges are also designed to work with different compositions.

A liquid richer in plant glycerin is generally more viscous. It may require a suitable feeding system to properly soak the absorbent material of the resistance.

For nicotine-containing liquids, it must also be verified that the concentration chosen corresponds to the manufacturer's recommendations and equipment characteristics. Nicotine causes addiction.

How to fill a rechargeable pod cartridge?

The filling system depends on the model: some pods offer a lateral opening, while others have a superior filling or a specific mechanism.

To fill your cartridge:

1. Consult the filling method specified by the manufacturer.
2. Open the appropriate orifice without damaging the cap or joints.
3. Add a compatible e-liquid without exceeding the expected capacity.
4. Close the cartridge carefully.
5. After the installation of a new resistance or the use of a new integrated strength cartridge, respect the recommended impregnation time before the first use.

Avoid filling the duct with central air when the cartridge has one.

When should a pod cartridge be replaced?

One replacement cartridge may become necessary when the container is cracked, a leaking element is damaged or the integrated strength is worn out.

According to La Technology used, some signs may lead to checking or replacing the cartridge:

• A persistent degradation of flavors.
• A burning taste.
• A leak related to a deteriorated cartridge.
• A crack or deformation of the container.
• A defective connection after checking the condition and cleanliness of the contacts.

Where the strength is interchangeable, it may suffice to replace the strength if the cartridge itself remains in good condition.

How can I avoid leaking a pod cartridge?

A cartridge leak can have several origins: a poorly closed cap, a deteriorated seal, a poorly installed resistance or a damaged tank.

To limit these problems, use a compatible cartridge, follow the filling instructions and regularly monitor the condition of the seals and closing elements.

Light condensation can sometimes be confused with leakage. The manufacturer's maintenance recommendations should be consulted before handling.

Maintain electronic cigarette cartridges

Maintenance depends on the system used. Some cartridges can be wiped outside with a suitable cloth, while connecting contacts must remain clean and dry.

Never dive into water a cartridge containing an electronic component or an integrated strength unless the manufacturer has explicitly instructed a specific procedure.

Avoid using a cracked or damaged cartridge that may cause leakage.
