Accus for electronic cigarettes: formats 18650, 21700 and 18350

The charged for electronic cigarettes are removable rechargeable batteries used in certain boxes, mods and electronic pipes. Unlike devices with an integrated battery, battery-powered equipment can remove and replace the battery when required by the manufacturer.

At RoyalCig, discover our selection charges 18650 and 21700for electronic cigarettes, as well as the information necessary to identify the format suitable for your equipment.

The choice of an battery must never be based solely on its announced autonomy. The dimensions, electrical characteristics, permissible discharge current and manufacturer requirements of your device must also be checked.

What are the different formats for vapus?

Several lithium-ion battery formats are used in electronic cigarettes. The designations 18350, 18650 and 21700 correspond to families of nominal dimensions, but the actual dimensions may vary slightly depending on the construction of the Accu.

Accu 18650 for electronic cigarettes

The Accu 18650is a common format on many electronic boxes and some mods. Its nominal dimensions are about 18 mm in diameter and 65 mm in length.

There are various 18650 battery models with varying discharge capacities and currents. Two batteries of this format do not necessarily have the same characteristics.

To choose an 18650 battery, check your box specifications as well as the battery manufacturer's data.

Accu 21700 for electronic box

The Accu 21700has nominal dimensions of approximately 21 mm diameter for 70 mm length.

Depending on the models, this format may offer a greater capacity than some 18650 batteries, but it is not a universal rule. Real performance depends in particular on the cell and its electrical characteristics.

A 21700 battery must only be used in a device explicitly compatible with this format.

Accu 18350 for certain e-pipe models

The Accu 18350is a more compact format, whose nominal dimensions are about 18 mm in diameter and 35 mm in length.

It is used in particular in certain configurations of artisanal electronic pipes. Its capacity and discharge characteristics must correspond to the precise requirements of the apparatus.

An 18350 battery is not interchangeable with an 18650 battery simply because it has a similar nominal diameter.

What difference between charges 18650 and 21700?

The main difference between Accu 18650and one Accu 21700concerns their dimensions. The 21700 format is wider and longer.

The electrical characteristics then vary according to the references. Capacity, discharge current and performance cannot be determined solely from the format.

It is therefore important not to choose an battery by considering only that a larger model would necessarily be more efficient or more suitable.

Understand the capacity of a battery in mAh

The capacity of a battery is generally expressed in milliamperae-hours (mAh). This indication represents an electrical capacity measured under specified conditions.

Greater capacity can help increase autonomy under comparable operating conditions, but the actual autonomy also depends on the power used, the efficiency of the apparatus and the characteristics of the cell.

Two batteries announcing the same capacity do not necessarily have the same maximum permissible discharge current.

What is a battery discharge current?

The discharge current, expressed in amperes (A), is an essential criterion for the compatibility and safety of an accumulator.

It indicates the capacity of the cell to supply a current within the limits specified by its manufacturer. Continuous discharge values should be distinguished from impulse or commercial values, which do not necessarily correspond to the same measurement conditions.

For an electronic cigarette, the accu must be adapted to the electrical requirements of the appliance and its operating conditions.

Attention:High capacity in mAh does not guarantee that the battery discharge current is suitable for your box or mod.

Which accu choose for an electronic box?

One electronic box with removable battery has specific characteristics regarding format, number of batteries and feeding conditions.

Before choosing a model, consult your device's instructions to verify:

• Accu format compatible: 18650, 21700 or other.
• The number of batteries required.
• Minimum electrical requirements.
• The expected polarity and direction of installation.
• Any restrictions on the dimensions and type of contact.

Never use a battery in a device for which it is not intended.

Accus for electronic pipes Créavap

The artisanal electronic pipes Créavap exist in several formats. At RoyalCig, the Bent, Billiard, Dublin and Gandalf models have different design characteristics.

Charges for e-pipes Bent and Billiard

Versions Créavap Bent 18350and Créavap Billiard 18350are designed for an 18350 Accu format compatible with the manufacturer's specifications.

As with any device using a removable battery, physical format is not the only criterion of choice. The electrical characteristics and condition of the accumulator are essential.

Accus for e-pipes Dublin and Gandalf

The Créavap Dublin 18650and certain configurations Gandalf DNA 60use an Accu format 18650, subject to the exact characteristics of the version concerned.

For any e-pipe, the manufacturer's recommendations for compatible batteries must be followed.

Mechanical models require special attention to the characteristics of the resistance, the battery and the electrical circuit. In case of uncertainty, do not use the device until you have obtained a confirmation of compatibility.

How to recharge an electronic cigarette battery?

The lithium-ion battery shall be recharged with a charger compatible with their technology, format and electrical characteristics.

A suitable external charger may be used when provided for by the manufacturers concerned. The instructions for charge current, temperature and condition of accumulators shall be followed.

Avoid leaving a loaded battery unattended and never use a charger or cell with signs of deterioration.

The presence of a USB port on a box does not mean that all charging methods are suitable: see the instructions for your equipment.

How can we safely transport a battery?

One removable battery must never be transported freely in a pocket, bag or drawer with metal objects.

The contact between the terminals of an accumulator and a conductive object may cause dangerous short circuit and heating.

To transport an electronic cigarette pack:

• Use an insulating case or box specially designed for charging.
• Avoid contact with keys, coins and metal objects.
• Protect them from shocks and excessive temperatures.
• Do not carry a cell with deteriorated insulation envelope or components.
• Follow the manufacturer's safety instructions.

When should an electronic cigarette battery be replaced?

An battery has a limited lifespan and its performance may decrease over load and discharge cycles.

It shall be removed from use in the event of deterioration, deformation, leakage, unusual heating or abnormal operation.

A damaged insulating shell or missing insulating ring may expose the accumulator to a short circuit risk. Do not use it in this condition.

A used battery should not be disposed of with household waste. Place it in a collection channel suitable for batteries and accumulators.

Should identical batteries be used in a double battery box?

When a box uses more than one battery, the manufacturer's recommendations should be strictly followed.

For devices requiring paired batteries, use cells of the same model and compatible characteristics, maintained together in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Do not mix accumulators with different capacities, wear states or electrical characteristics when the appliance requires a pair.
